security: relays....need quick answer
are all relays the same?
i have a bunch left over from when i pulled the fuse box from my vw golf and several of them have the same diagram drawn on them..the 30, 85,86,87 terminals
this is for a kill switch im trying to install
would it be wise to use them?

Relays are all the same in function, but the physical lay out of the pins and such isn't always the same. As long as you know your coil pins (85 and 86) and your switch pins (30 to 87A{off}/87{on}) than you can wire it up.
