Default Remote start and CIS problem

I have a compustar CM3000v3 and a 92 accord. I connected the status output (CN2/2 blk) of the compustar the wires from the cis and neither of them bypasses the switch. What could be the problem?

BTW, Remote start works when I press the clutch

What "wires" of the CIS did you connect the CN2/2 black status lead to, [color]? 94

I tried both, but neither seemed to work.

Have you tried unplugging the switch and then using a jumper to connect the two leads together, if it is the CIS you are at, the car will start without stepping on clutch.

If you confirm you have the CIS, [using the jumper] then the switch is not a "grounding" switch it is a "continuity" switch and you will need a relay, wired like this...
one lead paralleled to #30 of relay the other lead paralleled to #87 of relay, 12V+ constant to #85 of relay and the black status, [CN2/2] to #86 of the relay.
CIS will work normally but the relay will close the circuit when remote starting.

I do not have a wire guide for a 92 Accord so I can't say if the switch you are at is the CIS, most Honda/Acura CIS use a black and a black/blue lead and all the switch does is supply a ground to the starter relay so connecting the status lead to the starter relay side of the CIS, [blue/black] would work, however if the switch is a continuity switch that will not work, [switch does not supply a ground to starter relay].

So to confirm you have the CIS unplug it and install a jumper, if that works, install the relay, if not, you do not have the CIS. 94

Ok when I jump the connector the starter relay fuse blows. Idk what else to do. O and without the plug connected, the car won't start so that must be the switch.

You are jumping between the two leads, [black/green and blue/red] connecting them together? 94

That is strange, the jumper is doing what the switch would do when you step on the clutch.

When exactly does the fuse blow...
As soon as you install the jumper?
As soon as you turn on the ign. switch?
As soon as you try and start the engine? 94

As soon as I attempt to start the car with the jumper connected...It's done that twice so far.

What fuse and what size is it?

Sorry, I can not find any info on the CIS for a 92 Accord, the service manual does not show a CIS, it does show the NSS for automatic transmissions.

I am still looking. 94

7.5A in the drivers kick. It's the starter relay fuse.

I should have asked, when fuse blows are you starting with the remote start or the key, or does it make a difference?

If it makes no difference^^^
Move the remote starter output lead from where it is now connected, to a point past the cars starter relay, disconnect status wire from CIS. 94

If you have it post it, none of the ones I can find show the CIS.

Either way, wiring the remote start starter output past the starter relay will solve the problem, CIS bypass is not needed. 94
