Default radio install question

I installed a rockford deck on my 96 teg and notice that the unit always moves in the center console. I looked up websites and ducktaped the storage tray to the rear of the head unit so that could be attached also. My question is that when I read about the install it says to bend the tabs on the cage of the head unit to help it stay in place. Is this cage on the factory unit or on my new unit. Call me stupid but I didn't see the cage on either that could come off.
