And here is another. The A/C controls in my car have a total amp draw of 20. The fuel pump also has an amp draw of 20. Here is another. The hazard lights on my car draw 10 amps. The computer draws 10 amps. The cruise control draws 10 amps. The ignition draws 10 amps. The dome light draws 10 amps. The fuel injectors draw 10 amps. Been doing it for years and I know that it works. The reason for having all of those switches is to leave some on ad turn some off. Not very many people I know turn off their ac controls when they get out of their car. Not many will notice if you reach up and tap yur dome light switch, or tilt your steering wheel before you start your car because that is normal.

Yes but you are losing the original functionality of the button.

True, but seeing as how my AC don't work....and I might even pull the whole thing out for weight reduction I could see using the AC button as a hidden switch. But I haven't made final decision so I'm not going to do anything like this yet.

No you don't. You find the constant battery wires and splice into them. They put out enough voltage for those components to run off of them unlike your remote wire for your radio. If they only produced a limited amount of voltage you would have to use relays.

So what your saying is that you run the component and the auxiliary item (fuel pump, injectors, starter) on the same 12+ lead?

That's exactly what I'm saying. As long as the rated amperage for that wire and the fuse are not exceeded is perfectly fine. Yes...that's what I'm saying. I know what your response will be and I will answer it like this. Name all of the components that your car uses relays for except to reverse polarity. there lies your answer.

I just dont understand why honda would use a high rated switch for something small like hazard lights. There is no way I would trust my fuel pump running through my hazard light button or anything of that sort.

Simple solution would be a single immobilzer system. Because few people
have learned how to work with relays...Its a shame really because once you
learn the world is your oyster. Hmm I'm off this weekend maybe I'll set up shop
and do immobilizers for $75.00 per car..what do you guys think huh?

Basically there really is no free lunch....you can do this and stop the avg from
hotwiring and driving away with your car to strip it...not a sleaze with a hook.
So if you want help just ask.

an immobilizer is basically a circuit that keeps the vehilce from being
started by an unathorized user...also know as "kill-switches",starter kill
ignition interupts etc. I like doing those that simulate engine trouble.
( hey why bother when it wonk kick over )

I wish there was a way to prevent being flat-bedded. There has to be a way.

Rig it with pager activated explosives... I've said it before, And now I shall say it again... I would rather know that my car blew up and took out a couple of jackers than know that someone is going to rape all my hard work... Don't think it's possible? Come steal my car...

Very true.. and when the insurance company asks about it ill say "uhhh, they must have dropped a cig under the gas tank...or something." When I get my own place and I'm still into honda's I am going to put a pole into the ground and lock up the car with a thick chain. If I don't have a garage that is..
