Default Quick, stupid question

Which wire do you hook the remote wire from the amp up to on the back of the head unit that makes the amp come on with the car, the red or yellow wire?

If it's stock it's the yellow/red.

If it's aftermarket and there are two blue wires, it's the blue/white. If you use the blue instead of the blue/white, your amp will only turn on when you're listening to the radio, not the CD.

If you hook it up to the yellow on an aftermarket your amp will never turn off.

Blue white like they said. Solid blue is for power antenna's. If you have the stock radio you can hook it to pretty much any switched power source that comes on with the car.

its a Alpine CDE 9881

I could splice it in with the red wire also, so it comes on with the ignition right?
