Default quick Q...

im hooking up a 1000w amp and was wondering if it was correct to wire the amps remote+ to the radios remote+ which is constant +12v?

it wouldnt fry up the constant +12v would it?

What??? The remote wire is not constant 12v.

But yes, you wire the amp's remote terminal to the remote output from the deck...

going through the same problem here too. I don't know which is the remote wire for my deck. Theres no desciption of what wires they are.

Have you ever heard of testing the wires with a meter?

BTW, I'm sure the wires are different colors... As of about 15 years ago, audio wiring colors were standardized...

What do you mean by a meter? Those signal meter testers?

No. Digital Multi Meter.

Or, as I stated previously, the color of the wire tells you its function.

Yeah I have an not conneted wire that color. The original wires from the batery, speakers and all the other stuff were cut and theres a orange one that is not conneted either. Forgot what they were, a while ago I had some papers on them but lost that now.

lol didn't mean to hijack his thread but I have the same problem too but my deck is different. I will make a new thread since I got my own problems that are different.

My deck is the Kenwood KDC-722.

theres analog meters too... but not too many techs/engineers use them.
