Default quick amp question

i recently bought an amp and i just for fun took it apart to check everything out. Upon opening it up, i noticed a few things seemed to be held in with hot glue. the amp came from ebay, and it came with everything original packaging and everything, so i figured it was fine, but is the hot glue normal?

I have been installing and working on car audio products for 8 years and the "glue" that you saw is completely normal. The wire that you see is a coil for the power supply.

QWK is right

Those are the coils you have seen and glue is used because its non-conductive to the board that its resting on, unlike some other "bonding" materials such as solder (conductive) which is used to actually transfer engergy in the form of a connector

those are power coils..........there should'nt be anything wrong w/ your amp. the factory uses glue just to hold parts in place .
