Question on which system to get....
I've done multiple searches and I am still at a lost. Any recommendations on a system. I am looking for a 6.5 Component Speakers for the front. Just some regular 6x9's for the rear. A nice head unit. I guess i need an amp too. I drive a 2000 si. Don't really have a budget, but I am not ready to spend like $2000 for a system. Just something nice, with good bass and quality.
infinity!! i love mine . i have the kapa all around in the 95 ex. i am using a efx amp that puts out 65x4 rms it is killing them. sounds great. i love my alpine hu. pioneer 5900 and up are also good. it is up to you
Pioneer 880PRS, good SQ head unit.
Front components: CDT Audio CL-62 $199: http://cgi.ebay.com/CDT-Audio-...wItem
CDT Audio HD-62 $299: http://cgi.ebay.com/CDT-Audio-...wItem
For the amp, a 2ch 150W amp would be good: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
Power the rear-fill speakers with the HU.

This HU... http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-e...-9881
These speakers... http://www.eclipse-web.com/point/sp6500.html for the front, and these for the rear... http://www.eclipse-web.com/point/sp6900.html
This amp... http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/pr...4.cfm or if your budget will allow this amp... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=437
Remove the tweeters from the 6x9s, wire the 6x9s in series and connect to the bridged rear two channels of the amp.

Why would you consult your friends, when there are obvious experts here?
And he recommended removing the tweeters to eliminate problems with soundstage & sound quality.

Because me and my friends will be the ones trying to install it for me. Its not like you guys are going to draw me a map on how to install the speakers. I knwo there are experts here thats why I came here to ask for your opinions.

You're right... No one here will draw you a map...
But if you asked, I'm pretty damn sure one of us would explain it thoroughly so you wouldn't have to rely on you and your friends "trying to install it".

You're also right, but up until I decide which way to go. I don't want to waste anybody's time and ask stupid questions. I'm just being considerate.

personally.....I'd skip the 6x9's and go for a single 8/10/12"/<x> sub in the rear. image dynamics have been proven time after time after time for SQ and are relatively inexpensive http://www.woofersetc.com/inde...id=23
also check out elemental designs.
+ you can always start small......get (1) 8" or 10"....if you want more then it's easy to add another. I had a single soundstream reference 10 in my first system and I was more than happy w/ the sound. you'll get much better response from a true sub than you will w/ the 6x9's.
I'm not sure what kind of car you drive but ID's do well in free-air so an enclosure is not always necessary.

I hate drilling any part of the car to accommodate non-OEM shaped speakers. </TD></TR></TABLE> You presume wrong for a few reasons...
1- Yes they are oval types.
2- A 3way would be a triaxial a 2way is a coaxial.
3- You do not need or want a tweeter behind you, and you definitely do not want a pr. of tweeters and a pr. so called "supper tweeters" behind you.
Anything higher then lower mid-range behind you will make it difficult if not impossible to stage and image the sound properly.
