I have an 03 Civic LX that came with a python 1400xp already installed. One unlucky day, I happen to lose the remote fob. After I ordered the new one and got it, I went to program the new remote only to find that the system is not working. The red LED does not flash at all. I have checked all fuses and connections multiple times and they all look good. Any ideas on where to go from here? Thanks in advance!

 

You have to find the valet button and use it to program the new remote into the current setup.

 

I'm still trying to get the unit working so the valet button is not even in the equation yet. So I replaced all of the fuses even though they were all good. Apparently it made a difference because now the LED light actually blinks when it did nothing before. Unfortunately, it blinks 7 times quickly for 10 total sets and then goes out completely. I have to unplug the fuse and re-plug it for the LED to do anything. Any idea what that is an indicator of?
