Default Proximity Sensor


How do I adjust the Proximity Sensor?

I cant get it just right. I have been testing and testing but I cant find the right setting. I dont think I am adjusting it right.

There are two adjustment ***** and I was just adjusting the first one..

Any suggestions?

what type of prox sensor do you have? dei? knock off brand? what kind.. i have a dei 508d and i have it adjusted just right for now..

I guess your asking how sensitive it should be?

well on those **** types.. there is an inner and outer field/zone (assuming it dual stage/zone)..

the outer zone it should chirp the alarm when someone is really close to the window (w/in inches) if it chirps while someone is far/as they walk by.. its going to get annoying real quick and someone will probably kick your car...

for the inner zone when your window is open. it should go off for 30 seconds or whatever you have your duration set at if someone sticks their hand in about 4" into the cabin.. for the outer zone it should chirp is someone is REALLY close to the window like if they put their head up to the window to check out what stereo you have or something..

if you have it set so that it chirps when someone just walks by (like in a parking lot.. their just walking by to get through to the store.. then its too sensitive..
