Default Prestige Engine Start ADD-ON Question

I have a basic Prestige alarm and came accross an Engine Start add-on feature.

A guy at a local install shop warned me that if I install two brains they will

negativly effect one anouther. He recomended that I purchase an all-in-one unit

and replace the old one.

I get the feeling this guy's all about making a bigger sale....

Does anyone have any insight on the functional quality of the Engine-Start Add-on feature with an existing alarm?

But an all-in-one unit is much nicer. What is the model number on the Presitge?

Your current alarm should have an accessory wire output usually a negative pulse.
On your add on Engine start it should have a remote input to start the remote sequence.

Hook up the accessory wire from your alarm to the addon Remote Starter input wire. You may have to turn your shock sensor setting down because the vibration from the remote start up will probably set off your alarm.

I understand that the two units will mate (alarm + seperate starter), however what I am interested in is how well will the two work together?

Does anyone have any experience with this setup?

Yes they will work together.

I have done a Prestige alarm with a Bulldog Remote Starter combo before.

Thanks man.
I'm leaning on getting the Prestige Add-On feature so I can use my existing alarm transmitter for both brains.

they will work ,but the only problem is the remote start will set off the shock sensor, and instead of turning it down use a relay to bypass the power wire going to the shack sensor,if its external,if not just turn it down or live with disarming the car each time before you remate start it.
