Default Power wire for headunit

I recently bought a stock '90 CRX SI, and I attempted to hook up a new Sony headunit to replace the old tape deck that's in there. After searching in this site and matching the color of each wire by referencing http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf and found that the previous setup is extremely lame by connecting the power wire (red) to the 12 fuse itself!! So, I wonder if I should:

1) Find the "real" power wire from the stock harness. The site above states it's the Yellow with Red Stripe for ignition and White with Yellow Stripe for battery, and I can't seem to see NEITHER wire with such colors

2) Connect a wire straight from the battery (through the firewall) with a fuse

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.
