okay, ported box complete. sounds nice.. rattles the crap out of my keyhole so it sounds like crap from the outside (any idea to fix the keyhole issue?), but in my car its great, same clean sound and louder. box is big though. however, i have a question. the people put the ports on the side of the car rather than in the front. and the sides are about an inch away from the wall of my trunk. i was wondering if this sort of defeats the purpose of having ports? will i still get the max effect?

well, if you want to be resourceful and solve the problem yourself then i suggest trying different box positions, and then you leave it placed wherever it sounds the best to you. that's what i do. everyone has their own ears.
