Haven't used those. You can put 5 1/4 right in, if I recall correctly (havent had the teg for awhile). 6 1/2 will require some modifications.

Not a big fan of Polk Audio. All ears are different I suppose. I like Quarts, Diamond audio sounds good too.

I saw great pricing on MB Quart on http://www.cbrstereo.com also there is a seller on ebay named caraudiowarehouse that sells a brand new MB Quart 6.5" reference series for $135 . I just paid him for mine, he's been good about communication so far. I think they are last years model speakers, but speakers have been almost the same for like 30 years.

I found Diamond Audio at a local dealer here in Fl. They are actually a bit more money. I think I'd prefer MB Quart. They are mad in Germany and they just sound very smooth overall. You'll be surprised at the difference especially if you've just owned cheap speakers all the time. I tried all kinds of cheap ones thinking I'd find the right ones. I had an old set of Cerwin Vegas that were pretty darn good, but they're just not the same anymore.

My 95 Integra takes 6.5" in front and back from the factory. Not sure about the depth though.

6.5 came stock in the doors? i thought 5.25 came stock in doors? do you cave a coupe? seeing the prices of those speakers, i assume they have about 60-80 rms power, do you run a amp to them?

the 6.5 polk gxr speakers will work just fine, i am an installer and have been doing it for about 5 years now. As far as the speakers go, if you can spend the extra money and get the infinity reference coaxials. the model number is 6.52i. the have better bass response crisper highs, and its an all around better speaker. and you do not need an amp for them, they are very efficient speakers. and to defend polk, i have the momo line speakers front and rear in my crx and they are amazing.

Geez, I've only done installs for 9 yrs. As far as extra money goes, the MB Quarts retail for $299.00 These are the reference series. I don't know which series you've heard, but they are awesome.

Everyone's ears are different. The best test is to listen for yourself. Also varies by the type of music you listen to with them.

the gxr 6.5 speakers go for like 80 bucks, as far as sound for the money goes, the infininti's arent bad, they are still a little under 100. The MB quart tweeters are too bright for me, even when you adjust it on the crossover. Otherwise, theyhave the second best midbass driver i have heard, next to the focal utopia's.

I have Infinity 5.25 coax for my rear speaks right now. Infinity is better than anything in it's price range.

My Quarts are on the way. My "friend" blew out my Quart reference set a while back when driving my car. I could rip his lungs out. I think only 1 tweeter isn't blown.
