There is strange odor in my car almost like something is burning when I hit the remote start button while the car is running and pull the key out. (Like if I run into a store and don't want to shut the car off). When I return the smell/odor is there. Anyone experience this before? Alarm is a Clifford Matrix 50.5x, Ive had it for a few years now and only recently I started noticing this. Thanks.

 

Something is burned/burning.

 

I bet its one of the wires that are supplying positive to the ignition. Check those wires and where the go into the brain of the alarm.
