Default Needing a new amp. Type R sub.

I recently bought my sub, amp and box for 200 bucks. its a 4ohm 12in type r alpine sub, a ported no name box and a P.O.S Maxxsonic amp. i only bought it cuz it was a steal.

well now that my amp has blown a channel on the positive bridge it just sounds like ***.

im going to bridge my sub down to 2 ohms so it will be able to get more power a lot easier.

my question is, what amps are out there that are a reasonably good price (not like $500) and wont die on me really quick? my buddy is telling me and swears by Zapco?

The Alpine SWR-1242 is a 500W continuous DVC 4 ohm sub, a JL Audio 500/1 or the new 500/1v2 would work very well. 94

you can try the kicker zx series, not sure on what specific models they have, but they work great in my friends car
