need some help on picking a sub
hey guys, i'm a newb when it comes to audio stuff and was wondering if maybe someone could recomend a good subwoofer to compliment the amp and enclosure i just purchased. The amp is a Rockford Fosgate Punch P6001BD 300W and the enclosure i'm planning to use is like this
Enclosure Volume is 1.25 Cubic Feet
Dimensions are Height 13" x Length 16" x Top Depth 12" x Bottom Depth 15.5"
Speaker Mounting Depth is 11 3/4"
I'm not looking to break the bank or wake up the neighborhood. Just looking for something to bump in my newly aquired CL. Any help or sugestions is greatly appreciated. thanx

Because you have picked a prebuilt box you have to kind of work backwards.
There are two types of subs you can use a 300-325W, [RMS] 4 ohms SVC sub or 2ohm DVC sub or a 500-600W 2 ohm SVC sub or 4 ohm DVC sub, that's easy there are lots of them, finding one that will work in a 1.25cuft gross cabinet will be a little harder, +/- 10% in gross volume will not make a big enough differance for you to be able to tell.
Now the box can be made "smaller" installing bracing, to use up volume, in the box will also make the box stronger, [more rigid] and that makes for better sub bass response, so will sealing the inside of the box with a wood sealer, or better yet fiberglass resin., sealed boxes need to be airtight, MDF is a very pores material.
Also knowing what size of sub and a budget would help.

Of the 2, the Soundstream is the one that will work best, wire the VCs in series for a 4 ohm load, your amp will make 1x325W RMS into a 4 ohm load, the sub is 300W continuous, the Kicker sub is 400W continuous, the amp would be underpowered for it.
