Need Input
I have a 89 civic hatch.......now....theres not alot of "trunk" space.....but....ill be runnin 2 12 pioneer premiers 800watt dual voice coil.....the site doesnt say if they are 2 or 4 ohm but here is the product number ( TS-W125C/DVC)
Would its be best to run these subs in a ported box or sealed.......ive heard alot of ported boxes and there incredible........someone also told me that in the hatches it sounds best if the subs are pointing upwards......is this true? need help guys

Would its be best to run these subs in a ported box or sealed.......ive heard alot of ported boxes and there incredible........someone also told me that in the hatches it sounds best if the subs are pointing upwards......is this true? need help guys </TD></TR></TABLE>Sealed box will have more accurate bass, will handle more power, easy to build, +/- 10% in volume is not going to make a diff. on the other hand a ported box can have a lower f3 point,"deeper" bass be louder with the same watts or use less watts to be just as loud a sealed box, that said, it can't take as much power,[although thats not a problem], it will be a bigger box,[by at least the volume of the port] it is harder to build +/- more then 1% in volume will hurt, and get the volume wrong in the port, it can sound like crap. BTW Pioneer TS-Ws like to have there own air space, whatever you decide build a 2 chamberd box also I get best soumd by faceing the subs to the rear most of the time.
