Default Which guage of wire?

What's up yall
I'm about to wire up my old Alpine 300.4 to the interiors of my new Chevy Equinox. I am wondering what guage I should use for the amp.
TIA

No. I've got speaker wire that size. I'd use 4ga at a minimum, and don't forget to fuse no more than 12" from the battery.

What the hell does the battery have to do with the size of the wire?

8 gauge will work

4 gauge and a distribution block ---> 8 gauge to each amp [If you plan on expanding your system later]

Lol people the guage wire should be determined by how much current is being used and how long the wire is, short and simple nothing else.

Whats the maximum current draw of that amplifier and do you intend to hook anything else to that wire?

How long will the power wire be?
