Default Need Help with my System (popping sound from speakers)

Hey whats up all, i have a alpine head unit and i have a high amp and a sub amp hooked up.... I have a 4 gauge wire run through to a dist. block to 2 8gauge wires going to each amp. When the deck first turns on there is this sharp pop that sounds like its commin from the speakers. I have the remote wire going to the sub amp then split off to the high amp. Question is why is this happening? Thanks all

I would check your ground for the amps. Make sure it's tight and scrap away the paint where it is grounded.

most newer amps have mute circuitry during the first couple seconds during power-on. If yours doesn't I don't know there's anything that can help you.

you can get little delay timers so your HU turns on and your amps turn on a couple of seconds later. any local audio shop should have them.

I have a 2004 rockford high amp and a 2002 hyphonix zeus amp....the grounds are ok... the sub amp is grounded to the seatbelt bolt, its unpainted down there....the high amp is to my spare tire bolt...i think its brass, or brass painted or somthin...i think thats where the problem is... Will this hurt my system the popping sound?
