I have the Prestige APS-996 alarm. I attempted to hook everything up but this crap is so hard to do. I just attepted to connect the main power harness and I dont understand. Last thing I want to do is go to a shop to install it. I just need the siren to work. I'm not worried about hooking it up to the lights yet. Anyone have the same alarm that they installed by themselves? I need as much help as possible. I removed the previous alarm which wasnt even working when I got the car. TIA!

 

what connections are you having trouble with ?

+12 Volts: White/black @ Ignition Harness +
Ignition: Black/yellow @ Ignition Harness +
Accessory: Yellow @ Ignition Harness +
Starter: Black/white @ Ignition Harness +

oh and I forgot to ask, do i need to use the relay that it came with or is that for the auto tranny remote start?

what are the colors?are they aux.outputs?you should have a wire for the shock sensor,door trigger...and more.do you have the wiring diagram?list what color wires and what they go to..example...blue or green is door trigger...somthing like that...alarms arent really that hard.just need to have the installation manual.

 

I do have the manual but they make it seem so complicated.
