I believe this accessory radio is from a 99-00 Civic, but I took it out of a '97 hatchback, so I'm truly not sure of the year. I'm putting it in another project car I have.

Anyways, what mp3 adapter do I need for it? Attached is a picture of the back. Just want to make sure I buy the correct thing and not the round 8-pin adapter like I usually find.

that should be a 99+ radio, as the 97 would use a longer plug with all the same sized pins.. the 99-00 would use a not-as-wide plug, with the first 4 pins (2 on top, two on bottom) on each side slightly offset from the rest of the middle pins (and a little big larger in size)

Yeah, just confirmed that the radio was out of a 99-00 Civic. I've had so many OEM radio spares over the last 15 years that I've forgotten which I've used/sold.

Anyways, anyone had any luck with a good mp3 adapter for that style? I assume these are activated by pushing the "CD/Tape" button on the front of the radio.

BTW...this radio is nice and light. Not the usual boat anchor most of the OEM CD/Tape players are (due to the mechanisms, I'd assume).
