Default Mounting a sub

I got a single sub box in my car ad every turn i take it shifts what can i fab up to help this since mounting brackets wouldnt work so hot since i would screw the screws into that cardboard stuff honda has over the spare tire and under the carperting

you can still screw through that and hold the box, if your wooried about my friend had an idea for his and he put 2 screws through and put a peice of wood under the cover where they came through, has worked well for 3+ years.

O really i didnt know i thought that it would move the whole cardboard or something but you say it should be good im going for it just going to bed up some sheet metal

You could build a bigger box and tune it to like 30-40 hz. thats what i would do plus you would pound harder.

^those are all well and good, but i guarantee you can get the exact same L brackets and screws from your local hardware store for no more than $3

What we do is glue, [sub floor adhesive] a wood strip, [2"x2" or 2"x4" or whatever works] behind the back seat, to the floor pan, and mount a piano hinge to bottom front of box and to the strip of wood, that way when you need to access the spare tire or need room all you do is flip the seat forward then flip the box forward. 94

L brackets are good to use but i don't use screws. i used 1 inch bolts w/ washers and bolt-nuts.

I have never seen that but that has to be best idea ive heard of yet

I used straps, the nylon webbed ones I had laying around, but I also had a rear strut bar that could be used as an anchor. Obviously don't ream the strap down or you might F with your bar. Bungee chords work as well and both ways won't be a royal pain if you ever sell your car.
