Looking for a hood cable key lock
So after i re ran my hood cable, and made sure that there is no way to get to the cable from the outside of the car i am wondering if there is anway to secure it from the inside. That way some guy can't just break a window and pop the hood and have a field day under there. For example on my r6 it has a key on the side of the bike that you turn to open the seat compartment. It is basically a lock that when you turn it it pulls the cable that runs to under the seat just like a hood cable. So what i was thinkin i could do the same sort of thing by running the cable inside the car somewhere where you can't get to the cable and then just have the key to open the hood. Maybe somewhere on the dash, or dashboard, i haven't really decided yet. I know i am not the first person to think of this so does anyone know where i could find a lock like this... links please.

yeah the one that is on my bike would work, but i don't know how much that would cost if i could just find a lock like that for cheap it would be pretty sweet
why dont u try a mailbox lock? they are kind of da same thing your talking bout. the have different angle tbs on them and you would just use the one that works and attach the cable to it. and the cool thing is they are pretty much flush mount.
yeah that would work good
yeah have heard that those are pretty easy to pick, by a few people who got them stolen with it on. What i am tryin to do is make sure no one can get under my hood i am not worried about someone stealin the car it is pretty secured against that i am thinkin more along the lines of not stealin my hood etc.

you could always just move your hood cable to like your glovebox or something. That way they cant pull on it at the latch handle, and only you'd know where the wire was fed to tug on.
