Lights on deck flashes on deck
When i turn my radio up, the lights on my deck will flash when the bass hits. What's wrong? Am i drawing too much power?
my setup includes at amp w/ 1 sub. i'm using all 4 channels directly to front and rear speakers.

yeah, the sub's ok, cuz its drawing its own sorce of power from the amp..
whats makin the lights dim is when the bass hits like you said on the door/rear speakers..
solution: simple, buy an amp so you can run those seperate. why? well for a couple of reasons.
1) you can get more, cleaner power to your speakers
2) alot of amps (good ones) have X-overs on them. if your not familer with what those do, ill explain..
a X-over is basically a filter to sound. on a basic amp, maybe all of them, theres always going to be 3 settings of filteration. 1, low pass- means only bass will come through, no mid's or high's 2, normal- all sounds will come out of the speaker, low's, mid's, and high's. 3, high fliteration- only high/mid's will sound through the speaker... and thats the one you want.
you dont want bass comming through the door/rear speakers because thats why you bought subs right? also dont forget (im hopping you have one) that you need an X-over on ur sub amp too, you dont wanna run mid's and voice through the subs.. sounds crappy and might ruin your voice coil.
hope this helps
