You can make them out of fiberglass or you should be able to get a local car audio shop to make you a set for around 300 bucks.

You have 2 options.

1. Do what fcm said-- take out the plastic housings & replace them with MDF rings. Attach the rings right to the door with drywall screws & the speakers to the new rings. This will give you plenty of room for the magnet.

2. You CAN do kick panels. In civics, you can cut out the kick panel area. There is actually a pocket between the inside floor & the frame. I have cut this area out of both my 90 & 94 civics & my 90 integra. If you know how to make kick panels, you know what to do from there.

You dont necessarily have to cut out the kick panel area. If you want more foot room and want better sound quality, then this is the way to go. If you need any more help, let me know as I would be glad to help you in this area. My husband & I have been making kick panels for 5 yrs now.

Good Luck

Yea they will fit. i have 6.5s mids in my doors.. they would hit the glass if just put in there.. but if you use the plastic thing it brings the speaker out a half inch or so..
