Installing Subs..need help
I’m a do it myself kind of guy and I just got an amp and I’ve been looking around for some subs. I got a Phoenix Gold tantrum 250.2 and paid $120 Canadian for it. I hear that was a good price but I don’t really know. First my question should be is that a decent amp. I’m very new at this but the love for a nice audio system is there. I’m just a beginner so I don’t want something crazy just something to start and work from; also I’m still paying for school so I have a very limited budget. When I went to pick up some subs I was offered a deal for 2 10”clarion for $160 (reg. $130 each) he claims. So can anyone tell me what I’m getting into……I have lots more questions but if someone cold help me out with this first id be forever the their debt. By the way this is for my 2001 Accord. Thanks

Hi,
like everything else...do it right the first time and you'll save a bundle. your best bet is to learn everything you can about speakers and stereo systems. what RMS means, what THD means, etc... by knowing what all this means and how the speaker works with the amplifier and so forth, you can make a better assement of what you need (and what is worth buying). dont go throwing your money at the first "deal" you see...RESEARCH IT! google is your friend! read reviews on what you are buying before you buy it...very helpful sometimes. just remember that all components in a stereo system are important, and they are supposed to work together in a friendly manner. dont just throw a bunch of stuff together and expect it to be good.
sorry for the long *** post, but learn all that you can before you buy!
