Hello everybody, I need some help from those that have gone trough this before. I bought a remote starter and vehicle security system for the wife's car.

It's a PolarStart unit, model: PS-3155

So, I've done some research on the wiring diagram and have made a conversion file in excel to have everything ready on the install day. I will be installing this unit with a friend, hoping to put this in before winter hits here.

There's some blank spaces I need help in filling, things I'm slightly not sure about. Such as:

12- YELLOW ........................ (+) Glow plug input 3 - "not sure what this is, and weather the car has this option."

11- GREY ............................ (-) NEG. Door input 3 - "same goes here, where would I use this?"

10- WHITE ................. (-) GROUND when running 3 "now I know the regular ground can be hooked up to the body, but what about this one? it says ground when running"

9- PURPLE .................... (-) EXT. TRIGGER input - "what is this?"

Overall, everything is pretty straight forward. I'm confident I can install this unit without any problems, I have wiring and correct soldering knowledge. And I'm sure I can do a good job on this. So please don't recommend a professional installer, I can't afford it. Plus it's a great learning experience. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm seeing a "3" after each item, not sure if that is intentional or if some special character is not being displayed properly (I only mention this because it changes the context of items #1 and #2 - responses assume it shouldn't be there).

No connection. For a diesel.

Your dome light wire.

No connection.

No connection, unless you want to integrate with an OEM keyfob/keyless entry. Grounding this will activate the R/S.
