install new headunit, help with cut harness
i have a 95 accord lx, and the previous owner took his old headunit out, and cut the wires off the original harness except for one wire which is still connected to the harness, and i still have the original honda radio.. the wires are exposed and have no electrical tape on them what so ever, so when i was driving one day, i saw a spark from the wires.. could there be a short? and should i try to re-wire the exposed wires to the harness, or should i just hard wire when to a new radio? i would like to install back the original radio, till i save up enough for a newer decent radio... what should i do?
thank you

The spark is from when the primary hot wire from the battery hits a ground. I just googled 95 accord lx radio harness and got this, it has the instructions to remove/install and a wire color chart http://www.installdr.com/installdocs...PDF/466053.asp
thanks guys, i tried and tried, but could not get it, so i had a buddy at my audio shop wire it for me...
thanks for the help i appreciate it :D
thanks for the help i appreciate it :D
buy a cheap test light from the auto parts store it will make it easy to find your power wires and also you can use a aa or aaa battery to find out which speakers are which just touch the wires to it it will make a lil sound no harm to the speakers
