Default viper 5901 remote start error

Ok so I just bought a viper 5901 from wrx_killer_sti_eater got a great deal.
got home did the security portion of the install. just got done with the remote start portion today got the brain setup for automatic and put the neutral safety switch to ground just for testing.
hit the remote start button and I get a error on the remote and the feedback thru the light flashes is 8 flashes. according to the manual that is a neutral safety switch shut down so i tried touching the ground connected to the brain and no such luck anyone know why it doesent want to work.

Oh by the way my hatch is an automatic not manual

I had a similar problem but it was because i had the orange (ground when armed wire) grounded. I have the same alarm in my Ej8 and i have it programmed as an automatic to i dont have to do the whole manual remote start procedure. just make sure you have the nuetral safety wire grounded to the parking brake. ( i leave my car parked in nuetral with the parking brake all the way up. Also make sure you have to have a relay to bypass the clutch switch.

<Video bypass, Remote start on 5 speeds and illegal acts. I know most know how to do it and it is against the law period and is not safe. So its not legal here. Search the net or find out on your own. Its not that hard if you read. Make a thread on asking how to bypass any saftey features and it will be locked depending on how the thread is going. Remote start too. If not using a alarm ment for remote start on a 5 speed or adding a saftey bypass it will be locked.>

On of the forum rules.. :/ so i guess i cant take pics of my set up and show you, but you can look it up, or figure out the bypass relay yourself. This alarm is meant for remote start on a five speed so it's not breaking any rules there.

Bypassing the "safety" and how to do that is what is breaking the form rules, 10 9 8 7 6... 94

His car is auto so its not breaking the rules. We will not talk about 5 speeds with auto start unless its made for it. The dei alarm need the 2 wire switch pluged into the brain. Cut the switch off and loop it and plug it in. Switch is not needed.

it's meant for manual transmissions when it's hooked up properly, which you mentioned you bypassed by putting it in auto mode. so yes, you did break the rules.

This post breaks the rules and should not be hooked up this way. Insurance companies will not honnor any claim by damage done by remote being used improperly.

The starter will easily drag a manual trans Honda in any gear with the parking brake on. Sit in your car and try it.

^^ this

Honda parking brakes are notoriously weak and as said above the starter will move the car when remote started in gear.

If your ebrake is even more worn than normal, there's a good chance the starter will move the car fast enough in gear the car will start and drive idling in first gear

Yeah i didn't show him how though. So what if i did say i bypassed it, it's still not breaking the rules. Bro read rule #5. Anyways he's using an automatic car so my post has no relevance to his situation. I don't even really use my remote start that often so my neutral safety switch remain in the off position. I am also not stupid enough to leave my car in gear with the neutral safety switch on and remote start it.
