Infinity Reference 6012si
Has anyone used these, or an older model? Can anyone compare them to the Kappas? I like the Kappas a lot (bright highs), but they mount too deep so I had to cut up the speaker baskets to get them to fit in my old integra. I have a 97 civic now, and I know that I'll have to do the same thing again. Basically, what I'm asking is if the Infinity Reference 6012si will mount right up without any hassle. If not, can you recommend another coaxial that will? Thanks a lot.
They will fit using the "mounting ring", mounting hole is 5", [same as stock] and mounting depth is 1-15/16", [stock is 2"] don't forget the foam gadget... http://manuals.harman.com/INF/...0.pdf fig.5 page 3 also make sure the ring is facing the right way.

The Kappas are a step up, more power handling and better frequency response

http://www.infinitysystems.com/carau...er=REF&Cat=MEL also the Kappas are 2 ohms and the Reference are 2 ohm.

Well, I know the difference specification-wise, I meant how they are different in a subjective sense. I've owned two sets of kappas, so I know how they sound - the midbass is good and the highs are very bright, which I like. Are the reference's as bright, or at least close? I'm not too worried about bass, but I like crystal-clear highs...
