Foglight Wiring...
I bought a Pair of Wal-mart foglights last week. Installed them and everything was great. Last night I flipped the toggle switch, and the lights didn't turn on. I checked the fuse, and the whole fuse was melted! The was it was wired was the power came straight from the battery to the toggle switch, the wire from the switch went into the foglights. anywho I was wondering if I should upgrade the power wire? and where would I get the wire at with that kind of fuse?
what are you typing??

since the fuse melted, and we don't know what kit number and specific details on the kit other than it was bought at wal-mart
just upgrading the power wire isn't a good idea, cause if that melted or heats up that means the rest of the wiring is ****.
I can only say.. build new harness from scratch.
you are going to need:
- spool of 14ga or 12ga wire (dunno length, lets say 200-300ft to be safe, i'm known for over estimating)
- new fuse holder (cause the old one melted, right?)
- the same amp fuse that came with the kit, but fits in the new fuse holder, should be 10amps - depo kits come with 10amp atc fuses...
- soldering skills or crimping skills
- wire ties
- slit loom
- Good electrical tape, 3M stuff, its thinner more flexible and easier to use than some cheaper stuff i've seen.
- ring termials
- and the termials that the foglights require
- a spdt bosh type relay
- a bosh realy holder
- female push on termials
The wiring should go like this
Batt->8-12in of 14ga or 12ga wiring->fuse holder with 10amp fuse->wiring to relay pin 30->wiring from relay pin 87-> fogs(+)
fogs(-) -> chassis ground
relay pin 86 to chassis ground
relay pin 87a Not Used
to save your self from shock, and killing your battery
12v+ from interior fuse block "accessory port that is on only when dash lights are on" OR "ignition is on" -> rocker switch IN -> to relay pin 85 from rocker switch out.

now if your going to attempt this yourself, you better know what i'm talking about - if not go find a friend who does
