So I have come across an extra set of tweeters that I will soon install in the factory location in my 06 DC5. I have never had to mess with removing an airbag, but in the particular install it appears that I will be obligated to in order to do a clean switch. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about the removal of the dash, and airbag? Is it just pressed in or are there any hidden screws that I will need to locate? I havnt even looked at it yet, but my guess is that it is not going to be a very fast install.

 

If you're trying to improve imaging, then why are you concerned with replacing the speakers in the stock location? Generally, the stock location is the worst location for imaging... :shrugs:

 

I have the z6 coaxels in my doors. I am just trying to raise my soundstage closer to the ear. I will not be putting alot of power into them, just a small amount of clean balenced power in hopes to get a better mesh on my front soundstage.

I considered that, but on the drivers side if I were to put them in my foot would be prety much resting on it. Not preferrable.

 

rest your foot somewhere else.

theres a floor there for a reason.. if you really want better imaging, id say the first step in the right direction would be a set of kicks..
