i did an install today, problems...
so the sub and amp is all hooked up with an loc and everything, problem is only one channel, the left one on the amp works.. what could be the problem? this was on a ford explorer by the way.

Ditto the above.
If you switch the RCAs on the amp and the same channel is still down the problem is in the amp, if it switches to the other channel, switch the RCAs at the LOC, if the same channel is still down, its the RCAs if it switches to the other channel, switch the inputs to the LOC, again if it the same channel is down it's the LOC, if it still switches to the other channel , you have miswired the loc.
Here are the speaker wire colors for a ford....
http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Ford-Wiring.pdf make sure you are using the proper +/- for a left and right speaker.

it's only a 2 channel amp. thanks, ill try that tomarrow, fcm: the wiring diagram was the one i was using, none of the wires colors matched up to the diagram so i just used the placement of the wires part to wire up the loc.
