I just bought a pager alarm for my cx hatchback, and I wanted keyless entry. How much are the modules for the locks?

I think its about $20/ea for the aftermarket modules.. my friend got those at cost for under $10 cuz he worked at a store... you'll need relays which don't cost much... your planning to put them in yourself right?

not sure how much a shop would charge.

 

actuator $7.00 each
relays $3.00 each

I think I'm in the wrong business, over 100% markup on most car equipment. And they don't pay the engineers that design it crap.

I love listening to the salesmen pitch me their speech about how there isn't that much of a markup. It's not that hard to figure out how much it cost to make something.

My friend works at a shop, but I haven't talked to him about it yet. When I do, I guess I should get a good price then. Thanks for the replies.

 

retail on lock accuators is $70 installed at my shop.
