how to amp speakers?
i've searched and i couldnt find people discussing how to amp the car speakers, maybe its so easy that people dont ask this question? i know how to wire up the amp for the subs but for the speakers i never done before and i would like someone to tell me what wires do i need to hook up. i know the battery, ground, and remote, where does the rca cable go onto the head unit? and what about the speaker wires? do i tap it into the wire harness or do i have to cut the original wires going to the speaker and run the amp speaker output to the speaker?
btw the alpine deck that i have is 60x4 and the amp for the speaker that i have is 75x4, do you guys think its worth it installing it or no?
you tap into the speaker wires in the harness, you take power from your 2 channel amp. the rca cables go into the appropriate aux inputs into the wires hanging form the back of the head unit, thers a red and white for front, and red and white for rear. run those to the amp and put them in, then run the speaker wire, a + and - for each speaker and splice into appropriate wires in the harness. the other things u steal from the other amp, run a power wire across from the other amp to this one.
let me see did i get this right, battery, ground, remote, 2 rca, and TAP into the speaker wires. (total of 8 wires) my main question is do i have to cut the existing speaker wire to the deck and have the amp wire going to the speaker or just tap into the existing speaker wire
Cut the wires, white white/black, gray gray/black (front) and green green/black, and purple purple/black (rear), from the head unit.
Shitty way to do it, but also easiest:
Run new wire (4 pairs) from the amp back up to the front where the head unit is. Splice into the wires you just cut.
Best way, more time consuming:
Run wires to each speaker directly. Depending on the car, you may have to drill holes in the front doors to get new wire through.
Pretty simple hookup!

to amp up car speakers is the same as amping up subs. amp is grounded and the + add from the battery and the remote from the head unit and same with the rca thats it well and run the speaker wire from the amp to the speakers
yeah i know, but the part where im somewhat confused about is do people usually cut off the existing wire from the HU to the speaker and connect the amp speaker wire to the speaker? or do they dont cut the wire from the HU to the speaker and then use the amp speaker wire and tap into it? do it make sense what i'm trying to say?
you can do it either way, do it the cheap way and cut the speaker wires at the head unit and use those.
or you could scrap the factory speaker wires all together and run your own better speaker wire from the amp to each speaker.
hope that helps

dude your mis-understanding us. first. delete the idea of running wire to each speaker from the amp. that takes longer and there is no point its simply not how its done. SPLICE means tap into. you do cut the speaker wires in the harness from the HU but you connect it back together to the HU with the amp wires to it as well. it still needs to go to the HU u dont just cut it and leave it.
