Default HELP: noise at idle

Hoping I could get some help before I go back to the person that installed it for me tomorrow. I just got a 4 channel amp and components put in. Well we first had a problem where I was getting a whining noise that increased as the revs went up. That was eliminated using a ground loop isolator. Now, I still have this noise at idle, like a humming noise. It goes away or gets really low as the revs get higher. Now ive been reading and searching.. most threads state that it could be a problem from the rcas being to close to the power cable or a bad ground coming from either the amp or head unit. I guess I will suggest that to my installer tomorrow but I was wondering is it okay to add another ground that was thicker in gauge to the headunit just to see what happens? Also are there any other suggestions or solutions that I could try? Thanks

what is the amp grounded on? you may not need the device to isolate the ground loop if you relocate the ground or make it a clean ground

who installed your amp?
