Default Help with HID light problem

Hope that someone can help with this problem I am having with HID lights not switching on when the car is on. This is happening on a 2002 Civic 4 door with McCoullough ballasts and bulbs. The weird thing is that I can turn on the lights, then turn on the engine, and everything is okay, but not have the engine running before turning on the lights.

I have checked the fuses with nothing blown, plus this kit was used in 2 previous cars with no issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

do they get power off of the original headlight wiring or is it through a relay to draw directly off of the battery?

Definitely need to know where you're getting your power from....

Power is through the stock wiring. I have tried removing the fuse for DRLs and so far it is more consistent so hope for the best!

you need to use the stock wiring to turn on relays that give the ballasts power directly from the battery, and fuse accordingly.
