There are no keys for an Alpine HU, remove faceplate and faceplate trim. look on the left and right of the HU, you will see the HU "locks", [spring loaded locking pins] lift pins to center position, pull HU out, if HU was installed properly there should also be a back support, it will have to disconnected before HU will pull out of sleeve.

Sorry no pix, but try this, go here http://www.alpine.com, click on North America, then on Tech Center, then on Consumer Site, then where it says Quick Search, type in CDE-9843, when it comes up, click on the down load, scroll to page 22, and say WTF
, an Alpine that uses keys WTF
anyway my mistake, go and get a pr. of butter knifes out of the kitchen drawer, after removing the faceplate trim ring, slide a knife down each side of the HU, between the unit and the sleeve, about 2" , that will release the "lock" tabs that are on the sleeve, that "push" into the HUs sides.
Sorry for the wrong info the first time, but that's a new one for me

Once "locking tabs" are pushed aside, the HU will "pull" out, but like I said if it was installed properly there will be a back brace, and if that was done properly, it will not slide out very much at all, if any.
