Default help on building false floor

The stock carboard thing is messed up. I want to build something a little more durable, and so that I can access my spare tire without taking out my sub box. Help would be much appreciated. I tried a search, but all I came up with were custom enclosures in a false floor.

What we do a lot at our shop is glue, [sub floor adhesive] down a 2"x1" strap of MDF across the car behind the back seat, we sand/notch the MDF strap, [so we get as much contact as possible] to fit the uneven floor surface we mount the strap to, use the sub floor adhesive, [LaPages ultra-grip 4000] to "glue" the strap to the floor, in 24hr the strap is part of the car, mount a "piano hinge" along the full length of the "front" of the sub box along the bottom and screw the hinge to the MDF strap.
When you need to get the box out of the way, just flip it forwards.
This method only works on HB, seats must flip down, and nothing in the way above box, [shock tower brace].
Placement of the strap is very important, so don't just mount it anyplace, make sure the hinge on the box will line up with the strap when everything is in place. 94

How much room is there above the box? If you raise the box off the "floor" as high as it would go, how much room is there under the box?
What shape is the box which way are the subs facing? 94

You can do the same thing fcm said. But make the "strap" come out untill the shock tower. Then put hinges and out it open ward. I want to do something like that.

How much room above it?
If there is any room to "tilt" the box up, you could still install a piano hinge along the front bottom, and install some kind of latch/hook to hold it up against the bottom of the rear deck, that would give you access to the spare tire without having to pull the box out of the trunk. it would also keep the box from moving around.
The other, [and better] option would be to permanently mount the box up as high as you can, this will require a lot more work, but would allow you to to have the box as close to the rear seat as possible.
You would be mounting the box to the rear deck, long bolts and spacers would have to be used, [at least 4, for it to be solid].
Try this, with the back seats up, push the box as far forwards as it will go, then flip seats down, can you "tilt" the box forwarded at all? 94
