Default Underseat Lighting

this will probably sound like a newbie question but, I'm installing a set of neon lights in my car and I'm putting a switch on them. I have a iluminated rocker switch, and I'm not sure where each wire goes. There is three termanals Power, Accessory and ground. I have power coming to the switch and wires going to the lights, so if anybody could tell me what wire goes where on the switch that would b sweet, thanks

Power goes to a constant 12v source - wire it from a fused source.

Ground is a wire that connects to your chassis - look near where you are installing, if its the center console, look at your bolts that go through the chassis, and if you can - test them with a meter. Make sure there is no paint or coating on it - and if so - sand it off. Use a ring terminal to ensure a great job.

Accessory - this is the "thing" you want to turn on, run it to your power input for the neons.

When you turn on the switch, the switch uses 12v and it's own ground to turn on the light inside it, and also makes a connection between the 12v pin and acessory.

Take care,
Shane.
