Default Eclipse SP 6500 mounting question

Anyone have any experience with these speakers? I'm mainly wondering if they will fit in the factory plastic basket. I don't care if i have to cut out the back but I've found that a lot of higher end 6.5 inch speakers don't fit because the speaker's basket has too large of a circumference and I'm too lazy to make adapters. maybe i should just get 5.25s.

The Eclipse SP6500 is a "standard" 6.5" speaker using a 5" mounting hole diameter, same as the stock speaker, however it is about 1/4" too deep so a hole for the magnet will have to be cut out of the rear of the oem speaker housing, it also has mounting holes that will line up with the stock screw holes in the oem speaker housing.

BTW, they would sound a lot better mounted to custom MDF speaker housings then the oem plastic speaker housings. 94

Thanks for the info, thats exactly what I was lookin for. I know they would sound better mounted to an MDF ring but I'm too lazy, haven't been into car audio in a long time so I just want to slap it in and be done with it. Otherwise I would have just made a ring for the Quarts that are in the car already.
