Eclipes deck help
Hey i have a eclipes deck, When i installed iti noticed extra blue and a orange wire. My honda harness didnt have those wires so i didnt think i needed it. Its a weird deck. Has this ling wire and the end of it has a metal box. I have no idea what it is, Right when i turn it out it says "help" then displays a code. Well its kinda late to call the 1800 number so i guess il try tomorrow. But does anyone know what the problem is?
The extra blue wire is a remote turn on for an amp. If not used, this should be capped off.
The extra orange wire is the illumination wire. If not used, this should be capped off.

It's asking for the security code that was set up. Without the code, it will not turn on. If you do not remember (or do not know) the code, then it will require servicing at Eclipse or an authorized service center to reset it.

Ohhhh... Gotcha....
I never did understand why Alpine & Eclipse put those damn things on their decks... I mean, every other company seems to work well without them... What purpose do they serve???

The dc-dc converter? To increase the voltage for the output amp. The converter being in a separate box? To keep the interference away from the audio circuitry inside the headunit.
