Default Dynamat

Has anyone tried installaing Dynamat in civic 03 ? I would like to see if any one has done and if it has made a bigger difference in road noise and rattling noise.

what you mean by , he had 2 12" w6's. I am kinda confused. now if i remove the carpet inside the car and put them on, will it be a problem putting carpet back on, or shouldnt bother doing it inside ?

are you trying to do the whole car under the carpet.

my friend just did the trunk, rear deck, and 2 front doors.

what i meant by he had two 12" w6's is that he had 2 - 12 inch jl audio w6's. which are pretty powerful.

I use it in my 2000 2 door coupe on the rear deck, and around the front speakers... it stops rattles dead... but in all honesty, the thing I noticed the most was the clarity and clean punch of the rear deck was improved, the boom feel from the bass on that deck actually seemed quieter though, but worth it.

I found some stuff on eBay called R-Blox which is supposeably the same thing as dynamat. I'm purchaseing a 100ft sq rool and will be doing mine soon to stop my dorr rattles nd rattles from my back bumper and also putting small portions on the quarter panels and in the "hump' where the exhaust runs and possibly some on the firewall if possible

let me know how it works for the doors in terms of quiting road noise as well as rattle, if I keep the car and pay it off, im doing the doors completely on my coupe. Also, how much was the 100sq Ft?

Get yourself over to raamaudio.com or do a search for raamat. Really great stuff and very cheap. I think its about $100 for 62sq ft. And don't say "ebay has some stuff for 100sq feet for $100" because that stuff is pure crap. It will most likely be tar based, with crappy tar at that and wont hold poast 90 degrees. Raamat will hold on through I believe 250degrees so it will never fall off.

Also, secondskinaudio.com makes some of the best products...better than dynamat.

ice sheild or whatever is the roofing stuff. Has like asphalt granuals on it, almost like shingles. Could be used if you wanted to be ultra ghetto. Will most likely stink badly during the summer rays.

Go to Home Depot. It's in the roofing section, it comes in 100ft rolls for Under 10$. Works just as well Dynamat.

Maybe your Home Depot carries a different brand. This stuff smells the exact same as dynamat. Even in hot summer it doesn't smell. You can't even tell a difference in smell.

I never heard of the home depot crap but i used this stuff at Lowes called Peal and Seal. It comes in rolls that are 25ftx6inches. i did my whole trunk and it works pretty good. doesn't stink or anything. i think its the same thickness as dynamat 44mm? im not sure but its supposley the same. it costs like 13 bucks a roll. i think 2 rolls did my whole trunk.
