Your wiring is electrically correct, although not strictly conventional WRT to 85/86 and 30/87 (usually +12 on 86). This shouldn't matter though.

On DEI alarms, there is a menu item to enable or disable dome light supervision. Make sure this is turned on.

Does your dome light come on when the door is opened and dome light set in the "auto" position?

What happens if you ground 86 (or your dome light supervision wire) with the door closed and light switch set at the mid point?

A diode should probably be placed across 85/86 with stripe facing your +12V. -- I don't know if this is strictly necessary, but the supervision lead from the alarm is low amperage and the load you are switching is not. <-- Maybe FCM can clarify this.

Thanks!

And to the OP, if for some reason you can't get this to work, I wouldn't sweat it. After getting back in the car about three times after installing the alarm I turned this "feature" OFF.

With the dome light on, everyone on the outside of the vehicle can see what YOU'RE doing, and you have limited visibility to the outside world (think one-way mirror into the interrogation room). I would rather keep it wired to the door pin and turn off immediately after entering the vehicle.
