Domelight supervision
hey HT fam! Im about to install a viper 5706v in my friends car and was wondering can i use the domelight alarm trigger wire to turn on the parking lights (front corner lights and tail lights) instead of using it to trigger the domelight when pressing the unlock button?
i will be using a relay to trigger the lights. the domelight trigger wire have a 30 sec runtime then off and i wanted the corner lights, city lights and tail lights to have that same runtime.

i think this would be the right setup

so pin 87 12v + out put would be tapped into the vehicle parking lights
pin 85 would be the alarm (-) dome light input
pin 86 and pin 30 fused input 12v

oh btw the vehicle I will be installing the alarm is on a 98 civic ex
or should i not do this cuz the dome light wire out put is too small of a current (i think 200mah)

Yes it will work, as long as you do not mind no park ligh "flash" on disarm.
The 200mA output is no problem as you are only using it the trigger a relay, the relay supplies the current needed by the park lights.
BTW the fused input to the relay, [red leads] should be the same as the park light fuse in the fuse box, probably a 7.5A, but check. 94

If you are going to use the domelight supervision I wouldn't worry about using the actual park light flash output. Would kind of defeat the purpose.
If you use both though I would diode isolate the "parking light flash output" from the circuit so when the "domelight supervision output" turns them on it won't back feed 12v+ into the "parking light flash output" wire/relay.
