MSD systems can cause noise in an Audio system. Make sure the MSD has a solid ground.

"High energy" ign. systems can have an effect on stereo systems, but only if proper installation procedures for both the ign. system and/or the stereo system are not fallowed.

Although a "high energy" ign. system posses a bigger problem, it does not mean you have to put up with noise, I run a MSD system, including blaster coil and 12mm spark plug leads in my 94 LS, and although my stereo system is only an Alpine HU, I have 0 noise, I have installed more then a few "systems" in cars with MSD and other "high energy" ign. systems, and in some cases have had to "reinstall" the ign. system, but no car leaves my shop with noise if my customers follow my recommendations 94

My MSD is wired real crazy. Can extra wire cause a problem? I will post a pic in a couple of minutes.

I dunno if those extra wires taped up is making me lose power.

dude you should clean up your engine bay a tad or two. no disrespect bro. Corrosion is more serious than you think. It will definitely take a toll on the quality of your electronics.

Can I ask why you think you need an MSD? That is kinda like putting premium in a car that was designed for unleaded. You wont gain anything.

You have to have a reason to need that extra spark...like forced induction or a really high compression ratio.
