Default compustar q's

I have a compustar alarm in my del sol (standart shift) with the 2W900FMR remote.

My questions are:

1. How hard is it to wire up the autostart (knowledgeable about wiring **** up i know what I'm doing most of the time) and do I need some special module for the auto start feature, does the remote have to be programmed some special way?

2. When I got the alarm originally installed he said once you get a 2 way pager the regular (remote without the lcd, ordinary 4 button remote) will no longer work. Is this true? I find it hard to believe as I see on ebay with both versions included in packages and I am pretty sure I have seen people with both.

it depends on the how the alarm was installed and if all the wires were depinned. You need to tag the parking brake, foot brake, and hook up the ignition harness.

He said ign. harness, [ign., 2nd ign., [if needed] starter, acc., along with foot brake, "E" brake, hood pin, both 12V+ inputs and so on.

The system is probably a 2W900FM-AS... http://www.staub.ca/tech/Manua...l.pdf

Once you get the 2way remote you will have to program it and the one you have at the same time for both to work, as soon as you go into remote control program mode it erases any remotes already programed. 94

All the harnesses, CN1, CN2, CN3, CN4 and so on, have plugs that plug into the main unit, if you are missing any of them you need for your car, you will need to get them, or if any of the leads you need have been "depined" and removed, you will need them.
Find the brain and see what you have. 94

BTW you can program up to 3 remotes to the brain, [one way or two way].

i knew that ******* was jerkin me when he said i couldnt have nothing but 2way's

im gonna poke around the next warm day to see what i got, if the wires are there its simple as wiring them to there specific taps?

A programming of a remote is involved correct?

Can I do this without going to the place..

I've really grown to hate alarm/audio stores and their lying through their teeth mannerism..

You can program the remotes yourself...

Remote-Pager Learn Routine
If you replace or add additional remotes, you can program up to three remotes,
please perform the following procedure:

Step 1: Activate Valet/Programming mode by manually turning the ignition on
and off five times, leaving it on the 5th time, (between Acc and On) with car key within a 10 second period.
The parking light will flash once with successful completion of this step.

Step 2: Within a 10 second period after cycling the ignition for the 5th time, press
button I. The car parking lights will flash once to confirm that the transmitter has
been programmed. Continue program the additional remotes. The parking lights
will flash two times when the programming mode is expired.
