Default Compustar install problems

I got this Compustar system from a buddy and just now got time to put it in. I got it all in and seems to be locking and unlocking the doors. the arm light flashes and the parking lights flash to tell you its locked and has unlocked. I am having a few problems thought. The Door Trigger wire i cant figure out were that goes. my dome light will not come on at all and that i think has something to do with the stock HU bull **** that is now out of the car. and the last thing is that when i have my key in the ignition and in the acc or on position the car locks but on the key fob it says that it is unlocked. Need some help please...

I assume it is a 96-98 Civic so the door trigger is light green/red it can be found low in drivers kick panel, at a plug around the under dash fuse box, at the drivers "A" piller, [leads running to dome light] or at any door pin switch, except drivers door, and at the key-less entry plug that plugged into the stock HU.
You will need to test this lead as there is more then one light green/red lead in the car and not all of them are for the door trigger.

You will need one of these for the dome light... http://www.scosche.com/product...D/297

It sounds like the system is programed for "ign. controlled door lock" but it also sounds like you have the Compustars ign. lead connected to an accessory source instead of an ign. source, if they lock when ign. switch is in the acc. position. 94

It is possible although I do not think so.

So I understand... the doors lock when you turn the ign. switch to the accessory position, you do not have to turn it all the way to the run position?

Also, do they unlock when you turn the ign. off? 94

No.. Sorry. I was testing it out one night and i put the key in and turned it to the on postion and tried to lock it. The doors locked but on the Compustar Key fob it says that its still unlocked. With the stock Keyless entry wouldnt not alow me to lock it if i had the key turned to the on postion. Mayber its how Compustar is set put. I dont know this is my first Security sytem install but i know my way around a car and have done many sterios and indash units.

We may have a "wording" problem, your ign. switch has 4 positions...

1- off

2- accessory

3- run

4- start

When you say "on position" do you mean run, [3rd position] if so, then that would be correct.
Or do you mean that the remote will lock the doors even if the ign. switch is "on"?

The Compustar, [most alarms for that matter] can be programed for "ign. controlled door locks" the doors will lock when ign. switch is turned to run and unlock when ign. switch is turned off, depending on which Compustar you have there are other ign. controlled door lock options.

What model of Computer do you have, the model number of the brain can be found on the brain, it will be a CM**** CM1000/3000/3200/3300/4000V/4200/4200DXV/4300/ or a 2000AS? 94

I have a CM 3300. Im pretty sure i tried it in the RUN position but i will have to do a double check tonight. If it is when im on the Run position there is option that i just need to look up in the book to program it right?

One othere thing that i just thought of. That doom light adapter you showed me the link for. Is one of the wires dome light and one is Door triger. If so i could plug my door triger form the brain on to that right?

Forget the jumper if you do not plan on reinstalling the stock HU, find the light green/red lead and the light green/black lead in the key-less entry plug that plugged into the back of the stock HU, [not being used now] connect the two leads together, [that's what the jumper would do] and connect the alarms door trigger lead to them also, [CN3/3 red/white].

The "ign. controlled door locks" programing is in Programing Menu #2 (2-5). 94
