Hey guys I have one of the older radar detectors from cobra 10band about 2-3 years old. I just recently turboed my car and when ever I start to floor it the radar detector will go crazy and say L for laser. It never did this before when I had just my basic motor swap. I'm really just curious to see what makes it do that. I guess next thing to do would be to test it out in another car. If you have any input id appreciate it. Thanks
The installation of a turbo kit shouldn't effect your radar detector and neither should acceleration. Does it do this at night or during the day? Traffic on the road or no? Did you get allot of false laser warning before the change in the setup. Did you change the mounting location? What angel is the detector mounted @ compared to the road?
Cobra?!
10 Bands!!!
LOL
Cobras are soo inaccurate, that they constantly give false warnings, and leak sooo much Ka radar that they can set themselves off...

the best place for that unit is in your glove compartment...
If you can't afford a V1 or a Belscort unit, get yourself a Whistler...

Yeah I know its nothing special but I picked it up on black Friday for 30 bucks one year couldn't pass it up. Tonight while driving home the radar detector died out on me go figure lol guess there was something internally wrong with it.
well now you have one to hand over to the police, if you get pulled over in a state/country where they are illegal.
